Abstract: The topic of this research is the impact of adult education on intergenerational learning. The study aimed to explore how adult education programs facilitate learning between different generations and contribute to knowledge transfer across age groups. The objectives were to assess the effectiveness of adult education in promoting intergenerational learning, to evaluate its impact on knowledge sharing and relationships between generations, and to identify successful practices for fostering intergenerational interactions. A survey research design was utilized to collect data from participants in adult education programs that incorporate intergenerational learning elements, as it allows for a detailed analysis of these interactions. A sample size of 270 participants involved in intergenerational learning activities was selected to ensure a comprehensive understanding. The purposive sampling technique was used to target individuals engaged in programs with intergenerational components. The case study was conducted in Cross River, Nigeria, where intergenerational learning initiatives have been implemented. Findings revealed that adult education significantly facilitated knowledge transfer and strengthened relationships between generations, though challenges such as differing learning preferences and communication styles were noted. The study recommended enhancing intergenerational learning programs by incorporating diverse teaching methods and fostering collaborative learning environments.
